An experienced Cornice Maker / Plaster Caster role based in our manufacturing workshop in Truganina, Melbourne. This is a stable, indoor factory role unaffected by weather.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing silicone, rubber, and timber moulds for casting runs
- Mixing casting plaster and laying sisal/hemp reinforcement
- Running traditional bench moulds for architectural and custom profiles
- Careful de-moulding, trimming, and finishing
About you
- Prior experience in a plaster manufacturing plant or decorative casting shop
- Deep understanding of plaster sets, mixes, and material ratios
- High attention to detail and sharp eye for defects
- Physically fit and reliable
- Stable workshop environment with no site travel or weather delays
- Excellent hourly rates based on experience
