About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Storeman - Factory Hand to join our team at our Officer South VIC location on a full-time basis. This is a hands‑on position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our factory environment. You will be responsible for the receipt, storage of incoming goods and dispatch of completed caravans, ensuring that all operations meet our high standards for accuracy, safety and efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Receiving and unloading goods from delivery vehicles, checking for damage and verifying against delivery documentation
- Organising and storing products in designated areas of the factory, maintaining accurate inventory records
- Picking and packing orders according to customer specifications and dispatch requirements
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and safety standards throughout the warehouse and factory floor areas
- Assisting with stock takes and inventory counts to ensure accuracy of records
- Ensuring Caravans are ready to be picked up and delivered around the country to our National Dealer network
- Following all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory issues or discrepancies
- Supporting other team members and contributing to a collaborative factory environment
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a warehouse/factory, storage or distribution environment
- Forklift certification, must have a current forklift license.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and order fulfillment
- Physical fitness and ability to perform lifting and manual handling tasks if required
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- A valid driver's licence is desirable
