The Role:
- Manage and cultivate client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Effectively manage personal workload and deadlines for clients.
- Review and prepare financial statements for clients using standard procedures.
- Prepare work papers to the required standards.
- Identify potential issues or opportunities in day-to-day work, escalating these to Directors.
- Review and prepare tax returns, including GST & FBT.
- Provide taxation advisory services and advice as required by clients.
- Liaise directly with clients to respond to queries or provide information as requested.
- Review the work of junior accountants and provide constructive feedback.
- Train and mentor junior accountants to facilitate professional development.
- Assist the team in completing tasks or work assignments as necessary to meet client service requirements.
- Assist Directors with special assignments or projects as requested.
- Support the promotion of the firm in generating new clients and maintaining existing client relationships.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with Xero.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
