Own APRA reporting end to end for a customer-owned bank
Our client is a growing, purpose-driven customer-owned bank in Sydney with a strong community focus. They're looking for a Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting to take ownership of their prudential reporting function.
This is a role with real scope. You'll own the full reporting cycle, lead the bank's response to regulatory change, and keep improving a process that's already well automated.

What you'll do
- Own the preparation, review and lodgement of all APRA returns through APRA Connect, on time and accurately.
- Maintain a strong governance, reconciliation and control framework across all submissions.
- Monitor changes to prudential and reporting standards, assess their impact and lead implementation.
- Own the bank's regulatory reporting platform from a Finance perspective, driving further automation and reporting quality.
- Partner with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Credit, Data, Technology and Compliance teams.
- Present reporting outcomes and regulatory developments to senior leaders.
- Coordinate internal and external audit of regulatory reporting.
- Lead and develop a direct report, building capability in the function.
What you'll bring
- Hands-on experience owning APRA reporting for an ADI.
- Strong knowledge of APRA prudential and reporting standards, including capital adequacy, liquidity and credit risk.
- A track record of implementing new prudential or reporting standards.
- The ability to turn complex regulatory requirements into practical reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication with senior stakeholders and the confidence to advise them.
- People leadership capability.
- A degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
Highly regarded
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Experience with a regulatory reporting platform, ideally Regnology Agile Reporter, and TechnologyOne.
- Experience in a mutual bank, credit union or other ADI.
- Experience leading reporting transformation or system implementation.
Why apply
- Genuine ownership of a function, not one part of a large process.
- Direct access to senior leadership, so your work is visible.
- Meaningful regulatory change and automation work.
- A purpose-driven organisation with a strong community focus.
