TEKsystems is looking for an experienced Senior UX Developer/Designer for one of our leading government clients responsible for shaping the future of transport across New South Wales. Their work impacts millions of people every day, ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable travel options for communities and businesses.
Role Purpose: The Senior UX Developer/Designer leads the design and development of user-centric experiences for complex SaaS-based applications and enterprise programs. This role combines advanced UX design expertise with front-end development skills to deliver scalable, accessible, and innovative solutions that meet strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic UX Leadership: Define UX strategy for multi-tenant SaaS platforms and enterprise-level applications. Mentor junior designers and developers, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
- Advanced Design & Prototyping: Create high-fidelity prototypes and design systems for complex SaaS workflows (e.g., onboarding, subscription management, dashboards). Ensure consistency and scalability of design patterns across large programs.
- Front-End Development Expertise: Implement complex UI components using modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue). Optimize performance and accessibility for cloud-based applications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior product managers, architects, and business leaders to align UX with organizational goals. Present design concepts and research findings to executive stakeholders.
- Data-Driven Design: Utilize analytics, A/B testing, and user feedback to refine and optimize experiences. Champion accessibility and compliance with WCAG and industry standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in UX design and front-end development.
- Strong understanding of UX research methodologies and design systems.
- Working knowledge of designing for SaaS-based applications and complex enterprise programs.
- Experience in multi-tenant architecture and subscription-based workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of performance optimization and accessibility compliance.
