ELK / Elastic Stack Administrator – Baseline Clearance
Location: Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra (flexible)
Package: Up to $145k incl. super
About the role
Looking for a hands‑on ELK Administrator to own and improve enterprise‑scale Elastic Stack environments in a managed services setting. The platform is used for observability (logging, monitoring and alerting), not as a SIEM.
You’ll be the go‑to person for keeping the platform stable, running upgrades and migrations, and fixing complex issues, working closely with engineering, operations and platform teams.
What you’ll do
- Administer and maintain Elastic Stack environments across production and non-production
- Lead platform upgrades, migrations and enhancements
- Manage indices, ILM, shard allocation and cluster health
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Beats
- Design and build monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
- Work directly on Linux servers: SSH, logs, config and service troubleshooting
What you’ll bring
- Recent hands‑on experience as an ELK Administrator or Elastic Stack Engineer in enterprise environments
- Proven delivery of ELK upgrades, migrations or implementations
- Strong skills in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Beats, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Ability to own the platform with minimal supervision
- Australian Citizen with active Baseline clearance (mandatory)
Good to know
- This is a managed services role, so it may involve shift work, on‑call and after‑hours deployments.
