TechDev is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead compliance services across a portfolio of Australian wagering clients. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, AML/CTF, responsible gambling, licensing, marketing compliance, governance and regulatory change. The successful candidate will work closely with TechDev's executive and operational teams and client businesses to ensure compliance obligations are understood, implemented and maintained across multiple licensed wagering operators.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and maintain compliance frameworks across TechDev's wagering clients.
- Oversee AML/CTF compliance, including programs, risk assessments, monitoring, reporting and regulatory obligations.
- Provide guidance on wagering legislation, licence conditions and regulatory requirements across Australian jurisdictions.
- Oversee responsible gambling and harm-minimisation compliance.
- Provide compliance advice on advertising, promotions, direct marketing and customer communications.
- Manage regulatory reporting, licensing requirements and regulator engagement.
- Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate implementation across affected businesses.
- Maintain compliance registers, policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
- Oversee compliance incidents, breaches, investigations and remediation.
- Coordinate compliance reviews, audits and assurance activities.
About you
- Strong experience in compliance, regulatory risk or financial crime.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian AML/CTF requirements and AUSTRAC obligations.
- Experience developing and maintaining compliance frameworks, policies and controls.
- Experience interpreting legislation, regulations and regulatory guidance.
- Experience managing compliance incidents, regulatory reporting and remediation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage compliance requirements across multiple businesses or entities.
- Experience within an Australian wagering or gambling business.
- Knowledge of Australian wagering legislation and licensing requirements.
- Experience with responsible gambling and harm-minimisation obligations.
