We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Linux System Administrator / Engineer with strong expertise in managing, optimizing, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical proficiency in performance tuning , configuration management , and infrastructure automation , along with practical exposure to large-scale, enterprise-level Linux deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across production and non-production environments.
- Perform performance tuning of operating systems, kernels, and server hardware to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Manage and automate configuration management tasks using Red Hat Satellite, Puppet, and Ansible .
- Support and maintain enterprise Linux technology solutions such as Centrify, NTP , and related services.
- Conduct day-to-day performance monitoring , troubleshooting, and incident management for Linux servers.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia C) solutions leveraging tools such as Puppet and Ansible .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams working on virtualization , networking devices , storage , and Microsoft Azure environments .
- Ensure system compliance with enterprise security, operational, and performance standards.
- Participate in on-call support rotation and handle system escalations as required.
- Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
- Deep expertise in system and kernel performance tuning .
- Strong working knowledge of Red Hat Satellite , Puppet , and Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Experience with enterprise Linux environments integrating solutions like Centrify, NTP , and similar technologies.
- Practical understanding of virtualization platforms , networking fundamentals , storage systems , and cloud environments (Microsoft Azure preferred) .
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code principles and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification.
- Exposure to Dev Ops and cloud automation practices.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with hybrid infrastructure.
