Are you an experienced Side Loader Driver looking for stable, ongoing work with a leading transport and logistics company? We are seeking a safety-focused and reliable driver to join our team in Townsville.
This role offers consistent hours, a supportive team environment, and overtime opportunities based on business requirements.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of shipping containers while maintaining high safety and customer service standards.
Monday to Friday 2:00pm start
17.5 % shift allowance and Side loader allowance - $4.86 per shift
Overtime available based on operational requirements
Key Responsibilities
Operate a Side Loader vehicle safely and efficiently
Transport containers to and from customer sites, depots.
Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections
Secure loads and ensure compliance with transport regulations
Complete relevant documentation accurately and on time
Adhere to fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and safety requirements
Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries
What You'll Bring
Current HC licence required
Previous Side Loader or container transport experience
Sound knowledge of load restraint and container handling procedures
Understanding of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Reliable work ethic and ability to work independently
Good communication and problem-solving skills
