Night Porter in Brisbane

The Club boasts a first-class range of dining, event, social and leisure facilities including the heritage Members’ Bar and Dining Room; a Function Centre catering for up to 300 guests; Accommodation rooms; retail tenancies; a fully equipped Health and Wellness Centre with a 25 metre indoor heated swimming pool as well as a Business Centre and multiple workspaces for Members.

Our Night Porter plays an important role in keeping our facilities in a safe, clean and orderly condition for Members, visitors and team members. You will be required to perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks using a range of materials and equipment, to restore or maintain buildings in a clean and hygienic condition. You will ensure any Members, guests and visitors are made to feel welcome, safe and well looked after during the hours of 10pm to 6am. This will include assisting in-house accommodation guests and late departures from the Club. You will also assist in making the Club secure during these hours and support the Club's security and fire safety procedures during your shift.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the Club’s night operations, cleaning and monitor Member or guest requests for housekeeping and maintenance.
• Support the functions team with event setup and pack downs as required.
• Manage and welcome all Members and guests in a friendly and helpful manner during club opening periods.
• Perform Concierge duties as required including after hours phone calls, late check-ins (Post 10pm) and in-house guest needs.
• Focus on general cleaning duties throughout the night as outlined in the duties lists.
• Undertake laundry duties including washing, ironing, folding and distribution of F&B, Health and Wellness centre and Accommodation linen.
• Set up function rooms and event spaces for upcoming events as directed by F&E Operations manager or Operations manager.
• Preparation of cutlery, glassware and linen for events and F&B Outlets.
• Ensure safety and security of the building, patrons and staff during shift, including ensuring all access points and doors are secured in line with Club policy.
• Direct and oversee all Club operations during the night shift to ensure Member/guest satisfaction and safety.
• Maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment at all times.
• Act as Supervisor on duty for the Club which includes acting as chief fire warden, dealing with complaints, problem solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise.
• Report any maintenance issues via iAuditor to the Property Operations Manager.
• Take reasonable care for your personal health and safety and safety of other team members, contractors, Club members and visitors through co-operation with management and compliance with relevant legislation.

The role will generally be working Wednesday to Sunday starting at 10pm till 6am.
