We’re looking for an experienced senior retail leader to lead our NSW business, strengthen our leadership team and drive commercial performance across our largest state. Reporting to the Head of Retail, you’ll take ownership of NSW performance and its operating plan. You’ll know where to focus, make sound decisions and give your leaders clear direction. You’ll also tackle complex business challenges, lead change and develop improvements that deliver lasting results.
The role
- Lead commercial performance across NSW, driving sales growth, profitability and a consistently strong customer experience.
- Shape and deliver the state operating plan, prioritising opportunities and aligning people and resources to achieve results.
- Develop the NSW leadership team, strengthening capability, accountability and succession.
- Identify the root causes of performance, people and operational challenges, and lead solutions through to measurable outcomes.
- Lead key retail initiatives and change, building commitment and ensuring consistent delivery across the state.
- Maintain a strong field presence, coaching leaders and staying close to store performance and local opportunities.
- Partner with national teams to improve how we operate and contribute successful approaches to the wider business.
- Oversee operational standards, workforce planning and compliance, ensuring a safe and well‑run store network.
About you
You’re an accomplished retail operator with experience leading a large state or region. You combine strong commercial judgement with the ability to develop leaders and improve business performance. You can assess a complex portfolio, decide what matters most and turn that into clear action. You’re comfortable making difficult decisions, addressing performance gaps and leading teams through change.
You’ll bring:
- A proven record of delivering sales growth and improving profitability across a substantial retail portfolio.
- Experience leading and developing multi‑site leaders, building capability and succession.
- Strong commercial understanding across sales, workforce planning, costs and operational performance.
- Sound judgement and the ability to prioritise competing business demands.
- Experience solving complex challenges and delivering sustained operational improvements.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and lead projects and change.
- A hands‑on leadership approach and willingness to travel regularly across NSW.
