Tallangatta Meat Processors presents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Storeperson to join our expanding team. Smiths TMP is a family run business in its third generation, our headoffice is located at the foothills of the Victorian Alps where the Murray and Kiewa rivers meet.
About the role
This is a Full time position for a Coldstore labourer role based in Shepparton, Victoria. As a Storeperson, you will play a key part in the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse and distribution centre of Smiths TMP', a leading manufacturing and logistics company. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the business.
What you'll be doing
- Early morning shift 6am - 2pm with possible OT
- Receive, unload, sort, store and distribute incoming goods and materials according to established procedures
- Accurately pick, pack and dispatch customer orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
- Assist with stock takes and cycle counts
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety standards
- Support the wider warehouse and logistics team as required
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a warehousing or logistics role, ideally within the manufacturing industry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers and inventory
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow procedures and work safely in a warehouse environment
- Flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights and weekends as required
