Head of Risk Oversight |Leading Technology Company | Senior Leadership Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading technology company seeking an experienced Head of Risk Oversight to drive enterprise risk management, strengthen business controls, and support strategic commercial objectives.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a commercially minded risk professional who can balance effective risk governance with business growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, aligning risk strategy with broader business objectives
- Partner with executive leadership and senior stakeholders to provide strategic risk advice and influence commercial decision-making
- Oversee financial and operational risk, ensuring appropriate governance, controls and mitigation strategies are in place
- Drive effective business controls, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and improve risk management maturity
- Provide independent risk oversight and constructive challenge across key business functions
- Translate complex risk matters into clear, actionable insights that support informed commercial decisions
- Foster a proactive risk culture, embedding accountability and risk awareness across the organisation
- Lead risk reporting, assessments and oversight activities, providing meaningful insights to executive stakeholders
About You
- Proven experience in a senior Risk Management, Enterprise Risk or Risk Oversight leadership position
- Essential: Previous experience working within a regulated environment, such as financial services, fintech, banking, payments or a similarly regulated industry
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, financial risk management, regulatory obligations and business controls
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and constructively challenge senior executives and key stakeholders
- Commercially astute, with the ability to balance regulatory and risk management requirements against strategic business priorities
- Experience navigating complex regulatory environments while supporting business transformation, innovation and growth
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- A strategic thinker with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to risk
