Digital Marketing Specialist in Melbourne

Melbourne Full-Time On-site
T

We’re partnering with a purpose-led organisation seeking a hands-on Digital Marketing Specialist to help grow its reach, engage audiences and support work with positive social and environmental impact.

Joining a small, collaborative team during a period of organisational change, you’ll bring practical digital expertise and the confidence to take ownership of delivery.

Working alongside the marketing and communications team, you’ll focus on the technical delivery of campaigns, from building email journeys and launching paid advertising to testing, reporting and optimising performance.

The role

Paid advertising and email marketing are the core priorities, supported by website updates and practical SEO.

You’ll:

  • Launch, manage and optimise LinkedIn advertising, including audience targeting, budgets, A/B testing and reporting.
  • Improve Google Ads performance, including making effective use of a not-for-profit Google Ad Grant.
  • Build, test, send and report on newsletters, campaign emails and automated journeys covering growth, onboarding and ongoing engagement.
  • Manage audience segmentation and help maintain accurate contact data and list quality.
  • Develop and implement retargeting activity with the Marketing Manager.
  • Update WordPress content and campaign landing pages, applying practical SEO principles.
  • Support paid advertising across Meta.
  • Translate campaign results into clear recommendations and improvements.

About you

You enjoy working directly in digital platforms, getting campaigns live and finding ways to improve their performance. You’re organised, attentive to detail and comfortable managing delivery independently while staying connected with your team.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience personally building and optimising paid advertising campaigns, ideally across LinkedIn and Google Ads.
  • Strong email marketing skills, including campaign builds, testing, automated sequences, segmentation and reporting.
  • Experience using Pardot/Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, HubSpot, Marketo or a comparable marketing automation platform.
  • Confidence managing audiences, advertising budgets and testing, and using data to inform decisions.
  • Website content management experience, ideally using WordPress, with practical SEO knowledge.
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain momentum during periods of remote or interim supervision.

Experience with Salesforce CRM, Google Ad Grants, Meta advertising or retargeting would be useful. Deeper SEO and AEO expertise would also be welcomed.

Important information

  • The initial contract is six months, with a genuine possibility of extension.
  • November start is preferred.
  • Due to the real possibility of extension beyond 6 months, applicants must hold full unrestricted Australian working rights (we are unable to progress with applicants on working holiday visas)
  • Salary: $85,000-95,000 + super per annum, pro rata for the contract duration. Appointment will be within this range, depending on experience, so please consider whether this aligns with your expectations before applying.
