We're working with one of Australia's biggest retail media businesses to find a Business Analyst for a 6 month initial contract. They're in a big phase of platform scale and are building out their CDP and audience segmentation capability from the ground up.
You'll work directly with the Senior Product Manager, Data & Audience, bringing structure to some pretty meaty business and data problems and turning them into something engineering can actually build.
What you'll be doing:
- Running discovery workshops across Data Science, Analytics, Ad Product, Engineering and Loyalty teams
- Mapping As-Is and To-Be data flows, from customer data ingestion and identity resolution through to audience creation and ad activation
- Writing functional specs, data requirements and delivery-ready Jira user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Defining business logic and rules for audience segmentation, identity matching and privacy-compliant data sharing (cleanrooms)
- Working closely with data engineers, architects and tech leads to map integrations across CDP, cleanroom and ad serving systems
- Keeping documentation tight in Confluence (data dictionaries, traceability, RAID logs)
What you'll bring:
- 4 to 6+ years as a BA in data, MarTech, AdTech, retail media or eCommerce environments
- Exposure to CDPs, identity resolution, first-party data, audience segmentation or cleanrooms
- Strong workshop facilitation and the ability to break down ambiguous problems
- Solid documentation skills (BPMN, UML or ERDs) and great user story writing
- Hands-on SQL and comfort working with data schemas and APIs
- Comfortable using GenAI tools to speed up your BA work
- Snowflake or BigQuery experience is a bonus
