Looking for a hands-on warehouse role where you can put your forklift skills to work?
We're seeking hardworking and physically capable Cold Store Forklift Operators to join a busy operation handling perishable goods and animal carcasses. This is a physically demanding role involving forklift operation, freight handling and manual handling within a cold storage environment.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in cold conditions, handling animal carcasses and undertaking heavy physical work throughout their shift.

About the Role You'll play an important role in the safe and efficient handling, storage and movement of perishable goods throughout the warehouse.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Operating a forklift to move, load and unload freight.
- Handling and moving perishable goods and animal carcasses.
- Loading and unloading trucks and freight vehicles.
- Moving, stacking and positioning stock throughout the cold store.
- Performing heavy and repetitive manual handling duties.
- Assisting with receiving, sorting and dispatching goods.
- Working within a cold storage environment.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Following all workplace health and safety and food handling procedures.
- Working as part of a team to meet daily operational deadlines.
Rosters & Pay
- $34.79 per hour + applicable penalties.
- Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm.
- Weekend overtime available.
- Ongoing casual employment opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Current LF Forklift Licence – essential.
- Previous forklift operating experience.
- Previous cold storage, warehouse, freight or logistics experience highly regarded.
- Experience handling perishable goods advantageous.
- Comfortable handling animal carcasses.
- Extremely physically fit and capable of heavy, repetitive manual handling.
- Comfortable working in cold storage conditions for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to undertake physically demanding duties.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
