Job Description As a Claims Consultant within our Group Space for our AWARE fund, you will manage life insurance claims for start to finish, providing a flawless experience for our customer.
In this role you will:
- Assess and manage Group Life claims across TPD, Death and Terminal Illness from lodgement to determination.
- Review medical, financial and legal evidence to make fair, accurate and timely claim decisions.
- Communicate with claimants, trustees, employers and other stakeholders, providing clear and empathetic support throughout the claims process.
- Liaise with internal specialists and external providers, including rehabilitation consultants, medical practitioners, reinsurers and legal representatives.
- Ensure compliance with policy terms, legislation and the Life Insurance Code of Practice while maintaining accurate claim documentation.
- Proactively manage claim progress, identify barriers and drive positive customer outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support enhancements to claims processes and customer experience.
- Maintain current knowledge of life insurance products, claims management practices and industry developments.
Qualifications
- Qualifications Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy -TPD claims experience is ideal OR; Workers Compensation or Return to Work claims management experience with an Allied Health background Strong analytical, problem-solving & time-management skills Excellent communication & empathy to support customers during challenging times.
