About The Role

As a Casual Teacher in Information Technology, you will deliver engaging, face-to-face training to students undertaking Certificate III and TVET programs at our Albury campus. This role focuses on daytime, on-campus delivery, providing students with practical, industry-relevant learning experiences that support their educational and career goals. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, delivering quality training and assessment, and supporting students to achieve successful outcomes. Working as part of a small and autonomous team, you will enjoy the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working independently and confidently. You will engage with students from a variety of backgrounds and age groups, adapting your approach to meet diverse learning needs. While the position is primarily based in Albury, there may be occasional travel required to support delivery at the Wagga Wagga campus. This casual opportunity offers flexibility while contributing to the continued success of both mainstream and TVET program delivery.

About You

You are a confident, reliable and self-motivated professional with strong Information Technology skills, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and networking concepts. You thrive when working independently, build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds, and are passionate about helping others learn. A current First Aid Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one, will support your success in this role.

To be successful in the role, you will:

  • Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Certificate IV of Information Technology.
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET).
  • Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.

It is considered highly desirable to hold a Diploma of Information Technology.
