Your opportunity

How do you turn financial crime obligations into practical decisions across a business with both a national retail presence and an evolving digital offering? At Tabcorp, you’ll work closely with business teams to understand their challenges, advise on financial crime risks and strengthen how compliance works in practice. We’re recruiting two Senior Compliance Specialists – Financial Crime — one supporting our Digital business and one supporting Retail. Both offer the opportunity to influence business decisions, strengthen controls and contribute to financial crime compliance uplift, with a dedicated focus on your channel.

Your role

Reporting to the relevant Senior Manager, Financial Crime Risk & Compliance, you’ll provide specialist advice that helps leaders and teams navigate regulatory requirements and manage financial crime risk. You’ll bring sound judgement and constructive challenge, translating complex obligations into clear, workable guidance.

You will:

  • Provide specialist advice on financial crime obligations, emerging risks and business decisions
  • Assess financial crime risks associated with new products, systems, customer journeys and operational changes
  • Partner with business teams to identify control gaps and strengthen compliance practices
  • Interpret regulatory developments, assess their impact and recommend practical responses
  • Develop procedures, guidance and training that build understanding and capability
  • Support compliance uplift, transformation initiatives and the resolution of incidents and remediation actions

Your focus will depend on the opportunity:

  • Digital: Working with teams across digital products, systems and account-based customer journeys to embed financial crime considerations into business and technology change.
  • Retail: Working with retail and operational teams to translate financial crime requirements into practical processes and consistent compliance practices across the retail channel.

What You’ll Bring

You’re confident working through complex requirements and helping others understand what they mean in practice. You build credible relationships, exercise sound judgement and can influence outcomes while understanding the operational and commercial context. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in financial crime risk, compliance or assurance, with strong knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations
  • The ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical advice, processes and controls
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the confidence to advise and constructively challenge
  • Clear written communication skills across advice, procedures, guidance and training
  • Experience supporting risk assessments, regulatory change or compliance improvement initiatives

What’s In It For You

This is a complex and evolving environment where your expertise and judgement can make a real difference. You’ll have the opportunity to influence business decisions and make a significant contribution to strengthening how Tabcorp manages financial crime risk. We also know that when we belong, we thrive. That’s why we offer:

  • Time for moments that matter — from birthdays to cultural leave, flexible public holidays and five days’ bonus leave
  • 18 weeks’ paid parental leave for every new parent, no matter your role
  • Ticketing to some of the country’s biggest racing and sports events
  • Access to our leading wellbeing app and programs to help you be your best
  • A range of corporate discounts and special offers with leading retailers
  • A diverse and inclusive culture where everyone belongs
