Synergie is seeking experienced Freight Handlers / Dockhands for ongoing opportunities with a busy freight and logistics operation located at Melbourne Airport.

What you will be required to do:
As a Freight Handler / Dockhand, you will play an important role in the day-to-day movement, unloading and sorting of freight. This is a hands-on, physically active role working within a fast-paced freight and logistics environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Unloading freight and cartons from containers.
- Moving cartons and freight onto conveyor belts.
- Manual handling and lifting of items up to 25kg.
- Assisting with general dockhand and warehouse duties.
- Following all site safety and manual handling procedures.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Be physically fit and comfortable performing repetitive manual handling duties.
- Be capable of safely lifting and moving items weighing up to 25kg.
- Have a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Previous experience as a Dockhand, Freight Handler, Freight Sorter, Container Unloader or Warehouse Labourer will be highly regarded.
