Due to ongoing operational requirements, we are seeking an experienced Machine Technician to join their manufacturing team on a permanent day-shift schedule.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or suitably qualified tradesperson with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for machinery setup, mould changes, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Friday: Early finish
- Day shift only - no rotating shifts!

Pay Rate
$52.73 per hour - Trade Qualified
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mould changes and adjustments.
- Set up and configure machinery for production runs.
- Fine-tune moulds and machine settings to achieve optimum production performance.
- Carry out mechanical repairs and general maintenance.
- Troubleshoot machinery faults and attend to breakdowns.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues to minimise production downtime.
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold a relevant mechanical trade qualification, such as:
- Fitter & Turner
- Mechanical Fitter
- Mechanical Engineering trade qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with machinery setup and adjustments.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
