Sydney Wollongong & Hunter Restoration is a restoration company providing restoration services to insurance companies and is seeking experienced Restoration Technicians looking for their next career move to join our growing and progressive team. Sydney Wollongong & Hunter Restoration, part of the Darkim Group, is a business coming up through the ranks with record growth, and a preferred partner to construction companies, builders, real estates and insurers. Our team members are some of the first responders to attend disasters and catastrophic events, specialising in insurance building repairs and restoration services. Our teams are involved in reinstatement works for damages caused by events such as flood, fire, water, mould, and catastrophic storm damage. Also some of the more niche areas of restoration, including clandestine lab cleaning, hoarding, squaller cleaning and crime scene cleaning.

IICRC training is provided to all techs after probationary period
About the role
This full-time Restoration Technician role at Sydney Wollongong & Hunter Restoration Pty Ltd is based in Prestons, NSW 2170. The Restoration Technician will be responsible for providing high-quality restoration services to clients, working as part of a team to ensure all projects are completed to the highest standard.
What you'll be doing
- 1. Carrying out restoration work on a variety of materials and surfaces
- 2. Following detailed work instructions and procedures to ensure consistency and quality
- 3. Operating specialised restoration equipment safely and efficiently
- 4. Collaborating with the wider restoration team to complete projects on time and to budget
- 5. Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients
- 6. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- 7. Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies
What we’re looking for
- Relevant technical or vocational qualifications in restoration or a related field
- Experience working as a restoration technician or in a similar role
- 1-2 years experience in fire/smoke damage restoration work
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Current valid car licence (C class) is required
