Join the team at Swift Equipment Pty Ltd at our Pakenham Yard. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Twin Steer Tilt Tray, ensuring timely deliveries to our valued clients across the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of plant and equipment to our customers across Melbourne.
What you'll be doing
- Operate tilt truck in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload equipment(mainly Elevated Work Platforms) at customer sites, using appropriate handling equipment
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues or maintenance requirements
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes, and vehicle usage
- Provide excellent customer service and liaise with clients to coordinate efficient deliveries
- Conduct pre-start checks and maintain the vehicle to a high standard
- Assist with post hire inspections, small maintenance and adhoc work shop duties.
- Assist with assembling trailers for new sales.
What we're looking for
- A physical fitness level suitable for loading and unloading goods
- A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence and at least 1 year experience operating tilt trucks or similar commercial vehicles
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on safety
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Forklift licence or other relevant plant tickets would be highly regarded
- Australian work rights are required for this position
