Bloom is proud to be partnering with AIEF (Australian Indigenous Education Foundation) to find a passionate Early Alumni Engagement Coordinator/Executive to join their team.
AIEF is a purpose-led organisation supporting Indigenous students through education and into their careers. Through scholarships, pathways and alumni programs, AIEF works alongside young people as they complete their education and transition into further study, training and employment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join AIEF in a hands-on engagement role supporting young Indigenous alumni as they transition from school into further education, training and employment.
Working within the Alumni Engagement team, you’ll build trusted relationships with recent school leavers, provide practical support and help young people stay connected to opportunities, networks and the wider AIEF community.
About the role
The Early Alumni Engagement Coordinator will have a particular focus on supporting alumni during the first two years after they finish school. It’s a varied role combining relationship building, one-to-one support, program delivery, stakeholder engagement and events.
You'll be involved in:
- Building strong and ongoing relationships with recent AIEF alumni
- Providing individual support as young people transition from school into further study, training or employment
- Supporting alumni with tertiary scholarship applications, retention and graduation
- Connecting alumni with relevant education, training and employment opportunities
- Building relationships with schools, tertiary providers and employment networks
- Helping design and deliver alumni programs and engagement activities
- Supporting events and Pathways Conferences
- Maintaining accurate information and engagement records
- Contributing to reporting and broader Alumni Engagement activities
About you
You may already be working in youth engagement, student services, education, employment pathways, community programs, alumni engagement or the not-for-profit sector and be looking for an opportunity where you can have a direct impact.
We'd love to hear from someone who brings:
- At least two years of relevant professional experience
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience coordinating or delivering programs, events or engagement activities
- Confidence providing individualised support and guidance
- Strong organisation and administration skills
- A proactive, approachable and collaborative style
- Experience within Indigenous education or Indigenous-focused programs would be highly regarded.
Why this opportunity?
This isn't just a coordination role. You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with young people at an important point in their lives, helping them navigate the move beyond school and stay connected to education, employment and other opportunities.
It would particularly suit someone who enjoys the people side of program delivery and wants to combine relationship-building with practical, hands-on support.
Interested?
If you're passionate about supporting young people and would love to use your relationship-building and program experience within a purpose-led organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
