The Business Development Manager role is based in Brisbane and focused on Queensland, with the flexibility to chase the right opportunities nationally. You’ll report to the Commercial Manager and own new-business growth end to end – identifying targets, opening doors, running the bid, and signing the contract. Strategic growth focus is industrial, education, government, and healthcare – and that’s where you will be spending your energy.

Company runs a proprietary Workforce Management platform that gives clients real-time visibility on scheduling, compliance, and performance. You’ll have a real product to sell, not a promise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline generation
  • Relationship-led selling
  • Tender and bid ownership
  • Clean handover to delivery
  • Market intelligence

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the chase – who’s comfortable making the call that hasn’t been invited, who can read a tender and know quickly whether it’s worth chasing, and who takes real pride in a signed contract.

  • Track record: Minimum 3 years in business development or sales within FM, cleaning, or a comparable B2B services business
  • A real Networkers instinct: You generate your own pipeline.
  • Commercial sense: You understand pricing, margin, and contract terms
  • Tender credibility: You’ve responded to government and commercial tenders
  • Client presence: You can walk into a room with a procurement manager, a facility manager, or a site decision-maker and be taken seriously
  • Tech comfort: You embrace systems and data. WFM platform is part of the pitch – you’ll need to understand it well enough to sell it

What’s in It for You

  • Genuine autonomy – the freedom to run your own patch, chase the right opportunities, and move fast without layers of sign-off slowing you down
  • A product worth selling – 30-plus years of delivery credibility and a proprietary WFM platform most competitors can’t match
  • Competitive remuneration package commensurate with the scope of the role and your experience
  • Room to build – this is a growth business with strong Queensland roots and national ambition; the right person shapes how we win, not just executes someone else’s plan
