Super Retail Group is the proud owner of four iconic brands: Supercheap Auto, rebel, BCF and Macpac, and is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest retailers. The talent of our teams and their passion for providing an experience which inspires and enhances our customers’ leisure time drives our culture of innovation and opportunity.

At Super Retail Group, our purpose is to inspire and equip everyone to live their passion every day. We're establishing a new enterprise-wide Environment & Release Enablement capability and are seeking an experienced leader to design, implement and mature this function across our technology landscape. As a key member of the Enterprise Testing, Environments & Release Enablement leadership team, this role will build and lead an enterprise-wide environment management and release enablement function, supporting a diverse portfolio of technology platforms operating across varying levels of delivery, testing and release maturity.

This leadership role will establish standards, processes, tooling, and governance while orchestrating cross-domain delivery, resolving complex dependencies, and implementing an effective federated release train model. Partnering closely with technology and business stakeholders, responsibilities will include:

  • Test Environment Strategy and Governance: Define and govern enterprise test environment strategies that maximise environment availability, minimise delivery disruption and enable efficient portfolio execution. Oversee environment demand planning, test data refresh cycles and environment contention management across delivery portfolios.
  • Enterprise Release Governance & Orchestration: Establish and lead an enterprise release governance and orchestration framework that drives release quality, transparency and predictability through defined standards, release readiness controls, dependency management and stakeholder communications.
  • Test Environment Health and Usage: Drive proactive environment health monitoring and continuous improvement, partnering with testing and engineering teams to implement automated shakedown testing, environment observability and service readiness capabilities.
  • Automation of test environments and CI/CD Enablement: Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automated environment provisioning and test data automation to enable seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
  • Reporting, Metrics & Value Realisation: Define and maintain meaningful environment and release performance metrics that provide visibility of operational health, identify improvement opportunities and demonstrate business value.

Enjoy the flexibility of being based in either Brisbane (Strathpine) or Sydney (Rhodes), with a hybrid work model that combines collaboration onsite at least three days per week.

You are an experienced technology leader with a strong understanding of environment management, release management, DevOps practices and enterprise delivery. Whether your background is in testing, engineering, platform operations or release management, you have a track record of building capability, driving uplift and leading change. You thrive in complex environments, influencing stakeholders across technology and business teams while balancing governance, risk and delivery outcomes.

Passionate about continuous improvement, automation and AI-enabled ways of working, you are excited by the opportunity to build and mature a modern Environment & Release Enablement practice.

Super Retail Group is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We support, promote and celebrate diversity and we recognise the benefits a culture of inclusion brings to our workplace and customer experience.
