Supermarket Assistant Produce Manager/ 2IC
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Full-Time or Part-Time Assistant Produce Manager to join our team at Supamart Blaxland . As an Assistant Produce Manager/Produce 2IC, you will be responsible for ensuring the superior freshness and quality of our produce, as well as managing our produce department to meet our customer's needs.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that our produce is always fresh, of the highest quality, and visually appealing.
Create and implement innovative ideas to promote and sell our produce, such as displays, promotions, and events
Manage inventory and ordering to ensure that we always have the right products in stock
Train and manage staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organized department
Monitor and manage waste, spoilage, and shrink to ensure profitability
Continuously seek ways to improve the department and the overall customer experience
Requirements:
Passion for produce and providing exceptional customer service
Experience in the produce industry preferred but not essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage inventory and ordering
Ability to train and manage staff
Creative mindset and willingness to try new things
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
