About the role:
- Managing and overseeing daily workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow and resource allocation - often juggling multiple priorities at once.
- Leading, supervising and working alongside technicians and workshop staff as part of one team, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
- Rolling up your sleeves to provide technical guidance and hands-on support, sharing your expertise to problem-solve complex issues.
- Liaising closely with our Service Advisors, communicating job progress and any additional work required.
- Maintaining detailed records and reporting on workshop performance.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency.
- Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and quality control measures.
What we're looking for:
- A qualified automotive technician with experience as a Workshop Controller or similar leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Highly organised, with proven experience in scheduling, workflow optimisation and performance reporting.
- A natural people person with excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with customers and leading a team.
- A genuine problem solver who enjoys figuring out complex issues.
- Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and brings a strong work ethic.
