Sunshine Coast Oral, Facial & Implant Specialists (SCOFIS) is a leading oral and maxillofacial surgery practice committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients. With a focus on advanced surgical procedures, dental implants, and facial reconstruction, we pride ourselves on providing personalised treatment plans that prioritise patient comfort and satisfaction.
Do you love connecting with people, helping them understand their options, and guiding them toward life-changing decisions? SCOFIS is looking for a passionate, engaging Treatment Coordinator to be the heart of our patient experience.
You will be the vital link between our clinical team and our patients — someone who can translate complex treatment plans into clear, confident conversations, build genuine rapport, and inspire patients to take the first step toward the smile they deserve.
This is a full-time, permanent role commencing ahead of our August 2026 launch. As Treatment Coordinator, you will be responsible for guiding patients through every stage of their treatment journey — from initial enquiry through to treatment acceptance and beyond. You will work closely with the Surgeons and practice manager to ensure a seamless, premium experience at every touchpoint.
Key responsibilities include:
- Patient Consultations: Conduct one-on-one consultations with patients following clinical assessment, presenting comprehensive treatment plans clearly, empathetically, and persuasively.
- Treatment Acceptance: Build trust and confidence with patients considering implant treatment, addressing concerns, explaining financial investment, and facilitating timely treatment decisions.
- Finance & Payment Plans: Present and manage payment plan options (e.g. TLC, Super access), helping patients access the finance solution that works for them.
- Clinical Liaison: Act as the primary communication bridge between clinicians and patients, ensuring treatment notes, referrals, and care plans are communicated accurately.
- Patient Follow‐Up: Proactively follow up with patients who have outstanding treatment plans and nurture relationships with unscheduled patients through personalised outreach.
- Scheduling & Administration: Manage complex multi‐appointment treatment scheduling, coordinate referrals and specialists, and support day‐to‐day front desk operations as needed.
- Imaging Support: Assist clinicians with CBCT and digital X‐ray capture and preparation of imaging for treatment planning (Cert IV in Dental Radiography highly advantageous).
About you:
- Experience in a treatment coordinator or patient coordinator role — implant or specialist experience highly regarded.
- An engaging, warm, and professional manner that immediately puts patients at ease.
- Strong sales acumen and confidence presenting high‐value treatment plans — you understand that helping a patient say 'yes' is about education, empathy, and trust.
- Ability to explain complex implant and prosthetic treatment pathways in simple, relatable terms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including email and phone follow‐up.
- A proactive, self‐motivated approach — you follow up, you follow through.
- Cert IV in Dental Radiography (or current eligibility to take CBCT scans) is a significant advantage and highly desirable.
