What you'll be doing:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Feed smooth or vinyl-coated strand wire into forming worms, stretching mechanisms, and weaving turrets.
- Quality Control: Monitor wire tension, diamond patterns, knuckling or twisting edges, and roll lengths to ensure they meet specifications.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Clear wire jams, replace cutting blades, adjust sensor settings, and perform routine mechanical checks.
- Packaging & Handling: Unload completed rolls from wire dogs, insert pickets, tag rolls by type, and strap or shrink-wrap finished pallets.
What we're looking for
- Chainwire Machine Operator: Experience operating a chainwire machine is an advantage, but not essential.
- Mechanical Aptitude: A mechanically minded person is preferred. Previous experience as a mechanic would be highly regarded.
- Being able to work efficiently and manage time effectively
- Attention to Detail & Commitment to Safety
- Reliable, Physically Fit & Efficient
- Available for an Immediate Start!
- Own Transport & Valid Driver's Licence
- Full Working Rights in Australia
