NIGHTCLUB MANAGER | STORIES ROOFTOP in Perth

Perth Full-Time On-site
S

Two levels. One rooftop. Big tunes, packed dance floors and plenty of STORIES worth telling!

Perched above Yagan Square, STORIES Rooftop is one of Perth's most vibrant nightlife destinations, bringing together open-air cocktails, live DJs, incredible lighting and late-night energy every Friday and Saturday.

From sunset drinks on Level 2 to dance floor anthems beneath our signature rainbow roof on Level 3, we know how to throw a party!

But behind every great nightclub is someone who knows exactly how to make it tick.

We're on the hunt for an experienced NIGHTCLUB MANAGER who has been there, done that and knows what it takes to run a successful, high-volume nightclub.

Someone who understands that a great night doesn't just happen. It's planned, prepared, promoted and executed!

A BIT ABOUT YOU!

First things first, we're looking for someone who has RUN NIGHTCLUBS BEFORE.

Not just worked in one. Not just managed a busy bar. We want someone with proven experience leading nightclub operations, driving revenue and delivering consistently successful nights.

You'll need to be confident, commercially minded, hands-on and genuinely passionate about Perth's nightlife scene.

Proven nightclub management experience is essential, with a strong track record operating busy, high-volume late-night venues.

A confident, charismatic leader who knows how to bring the best out of a large team while maintaining a positive and respectful culture.

A strong commercial mindset! Someone who looks beyond the final revenue figure and understands what's driving the numbers.

Experience analysing sales performance, product mix, beverage trends and profitability, identifying opportunities and actively implementing improvements.

Strong understanding of beverage costs, stock control, wastage, margins and inventory management.

Experience developing efficient bar operations, including batching, product selection, bar layouts and systems that maximise speed of service.

Hands-on leadership is a must! Someone who can identify bottlenecks, jump behind the bar and lead by example when the pressure is on.

Confidence training and developing bartenders, supervisors and support teams to deliver fast, consistent and efficient service.

Experience managing and developing door hosts and guest entry teams, ensuring a welcoming first impression, efficient entry processes, strong guest engagement and consistent venue standards.

Confidence coordinating door hosts, security and guest list operations, including queue management, VIP arrivals, entry promotions and maintaining a smooth flow of guests into the venue.

Experience managing labour costs, rostering and staffing levels in line with trade patterns and revenue.

A creative and commercially driven approach to nightlife, with an understanding of what attracts crowds, keeps them coming back and drives spend.

The ability to work closely with marketing on promotions, events, activations and initiatives that actually deliver results.

Experience coordinating DJs, entertainment, resident photographers, security contractors and other external suppliers.

A sound understanding of nightclub AV, lighting and sound systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and coordinate technical support.

Confidence managing security, crowd behaviour, venue capacity and challenging situations professionally.

A thorough understanding of WA liquor licensing, RSA obligations and responsible nightclub operations.

Strong reporting, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with Group Operations.

Knowledge of Bepoz and TANDA is advantageous.

Current WA RSA Certificate and Approved Manager accreditation.

Full Australian working rights. No sponsorship at this time.

Most importantly? We're looking for someone who takes genuine ownership of their nightclub.

Someone who notices when vodka sales are slipping, questions why a promotion isn't performing, identifies opportunities to improve bar efficiency and actually does something about it!

We want someone who brings ideas to the table, not just problems.

This isn't your typical Monday-to-Friday management gig, but it does come with fairly set hours!

Friday and Saturday nights are where the magic happens, and we need you there until close. These are our biggest nights, and your presence leading the team and running the show is essential.

The rest of the week is about setting up for success. From briefing door hosts on promotions and guest lists to ensuring bars are stocked, batching is completed, DJs are confirmed and the team is ready to go, you'll be across every detail.

The weekends pay for this role. The weekdays set it up.

We're looking for someone who understands that the work behind the scenes is just as important as what happens on the dance floor.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

The opportunity to take ownership of one of Perth CBD's most exciting rooftop nightlife venues.

A supportive leadership team and hands-on Group Operations support.

The freedom to bring ideas, challenge existing processes and make a genuine impact on nightclub performance.

A high-energy environment with great music, big personalities and plenty of atmosphere.

Management meals, staffies, coffee and discounts across the Nokturnl family.

Career development and opportunities to grow within our expanding hospitality group.

A focus on work-life balance, with a 38-hour full-time contract and two rostered days off each week.

A LITTLE ABOUT NOKTURNL

STORIES Rooftop is proudly part of Nokturnl, the award-winning, locally owned Perth hospitality group behind Stories, The Beaufort, The Old Synagogue, The Station and Queen's Arms Perth.

We're a growing collection of venues with big personalities, passionate teams and a genuine love of hospitality.

From restaurants and pubs to bars and nightclubs, we believe in creating venues people love, looking after our teams and developing great leaders who want to grow with us.

We're not looking for someone to simply keep the doors open and the music playing.

We want someone who knows how to build a successful nightclub, drive its performance and deliver a cracking night, every single weekend.

If you've got the experience, energy and commercial know-how to run the show, we'd love to hear from you!

Not quite your scene? We're always looking for hospitality legends across our venues. Send your resume to and we'll be in touch if there's a better fit.
