Join a reputable and stable Multinational International Freight Forwarder and Logistics Specialist to support the business as a Key Account Manager in their Melbourne or Sydney Head office. Tullamarine / Banksmeadow location.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Existing Business:
- Maintain regular planned contact with the designated clients in your territory
- Develop and manage relationships with clients
- Proactively identify additional opportunities for increased profitable business
- Gain and understand the client's business and vision and direction for business
- Provide advice and support to meet client needs
- Collect and provides competitive information in the territory for analysis and distribution
- Attend weekly sales calls and other meetings as required
New Business:
- Identify the client requirements including organizational structure, key contacts, and then establish opportunities
- Work with other departments to assist in developing a solution for the clients
- Assist in the data gathering, outlining assumptions and value proposition for the client.
- Act as the client advocate during solution development
- Develop proposal materials, validate pricing and match to client's requirements
- Present proposals to client; sell value of solution, obtain client's commitment and agreement to proceed with a project
- Oversee client relationship for the initial period on major business issues pertaining to operations and channels customer feedback
ABOUT YOU:
- Tertiary qualifications preferred
- Proven sales support experience (preferably in Road Transport Industry)
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be ambitious and self-driven
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to build rapport and relate well with others
- Confidence to communicate with people at all levels of a company
