Stellar Recruitment is currently recruiting for two Senior Cultural Heritage Officers to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects across South East Queensland.
Based on the Sunshine Coast, this role will see you working across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects, providing specialist cultural heritage advice and supporting project teams from planning through to delivery.
About the Role
As a Senior Cultural Heritage Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring cultural heritage considerations are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project teams, Traditional Owner groups and other stakeholders, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of projects while meeting legislative and cultural heritage obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cultural heritage advice across multiple infrastructure projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups and key stakeholders
- Undertake cultural heritage assessments and prepare reports, management plans and agreements
- Support compliance with relevant legislation, policies and cultural heritage requirements
- Participate in field surveys, monitoring activities, inspections and audits
- Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on achieving positive project outcomes
About You
- Degree qualified in Archaeology, Anthropology, Cultural Heritage Management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in cultural heritage management within infrastructure, construction, transport, resources, utilities or similar sectors
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience preparing cultural heritage assessments, reports and management documentation
- Current Driver's Licence
- White Card (or ability to obtain one)
