The Role
We're looking for reliable and motivated Forklift Operators to join our production team in Archerfield. You'll be involved in operating advanced roll-forming lines and production machinery, handling sheet metal materials, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. Full on-the-job training and support will be provided.
Day Shift:
- Monday to Thursday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
- Friday 6:00 am - 12:00 pm
Afternoon Shift:
- Monday-Thursday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Friday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Feed sheet metal into and out of production machinery and advanced roll-forming lines.
- Apply adhesive coatings and protective films to sheet metal products.
- Perform manual handling, packing, strapping, and quality checks.
- Operate gantry cranes, with training provided where required.
- Safely move and position sheet metal coils around the workshop and load them onto production mills using a forklift, where licensed.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing, sheet metal, or operating production machinery is an advantage.
- Current forklift licence.
- Experience with roll-forming machinery, gantry cranes, or material handling is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable, physically capable, and able to work effectively in a team.
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks, with work generally performed at waist height.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to production requirements and shift work.
