Steelfinne Fabrications is a well-established Australian manufacturer of high-security doors, windows and containment systems. We've been building them across Australia and New Zealand for over 46 years, and we're proud of our quality, reliability and innovation.
We're entering an exciting new chapter. We've just acquired a brand-new facility and we're investing heavily in advanced robotic manufacturing. This is a rare chance to step into a hands-on leadership role on the workshop floor while we grow.
About the Role
We're looking for a driven Workshop Foreman to run our A Team on the floor of the new facility. You'll report to the Production Manager and lead from the front, making sure every job is built right, on time and to spec. You'll:
Run the A Team day to day: allocate work, set priorities and keep jobs moving through the workshop
Read drawings and guide the team on fabrication, welding and assembly to the highest standard
Work with our robotic and automated systems as we bring them online
Carry out first-off and in-process quality checks, and make sure every job leaves to spec
Keep the workshop safe, tidy and compliant, and lead toolbox talks
Train and mentor tradespeople and apprentices, and lift the team's skills
Report progress and issues to the Production Manager, and suggest improvements
What's on Offer
- Competitive salary package
- Work close to home in Hallam
- Lead the A Team in our new facility
- Hands-on experience with advanced robotic manufacturing
- Supportive, professional team
- Leadership development and a clear path to Production Manager
- Long-term security with a company that's been around for 45+ years
