Stawell Gold Mines currently have openings for qualified Diesel Fitters to join our Mobile Maintenance team.

About the Role
We currently have openings for
Q ualified Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our maintenance team.
Residential Role working 7/7 Roster including some night shift.
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing SGM’s fleet of underground mobile diesel equipment to the highest standard.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Performing routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on light and heavy diesel equipment (including underground).
- Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Maintaining workshop tools and equipment to a high standard.
- Completing maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
- Upholding SGM’s commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.
- Supporting apprentices and contributing to a strong team culture.
- What you’ll bring
- Trade qualification in
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120) or Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (AUR31220) or equivalent.
(heavy vehicle preferred but not essential).
- Solid experience working on mobile diesel equipment (underground experience highly regarded).
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
- Good computer literacy and attention to detail with maintenance records.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Hydraulic & electrical experience .
- Availability to work a continuous shift roster (Days/Nights) where required.
