Building strong relationships with families and helping deliver unforgettable Starlight experiences will be your day-to-day! You'll work closely with health professionals, our Wish Experience team, and other parts of the organisation to make sure every child and young person feels seen, supported, and celebrated. From welcoming families into the program to coordinating Box Office activities and seeing the wishes through, you'll be there every step of the way. This role is a part-time (4 days a week) 12-month contract.
About you
You've worked in health, welfare or community settings and understand the importance of professional boundaries and trauma-informed care. You're someone who builds strong, respectful relationships and knows how to support families through challenging times. You're confident navigating sensitive conversations, and you bring empathy, resilience and professionalism to everything you do.
- A qualification or solid experience in health services, social work, welfare, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with families, ideally supporting children or young people.
- A strong understanding of family-centred care and how to advocate for what's best for each family.
- Confidence using systems and databases - every conversation and detail is tracked in our CRM, so being tech-savvy is key.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work across teams to make things happen.
