Role Overview: As a Livestock Handler at our Processing Plant near Grantham in the Lockyer Valley, you will play a vital role in our high-volume food manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling of livestock, contributing to plant availability and reliability. Your duties will include:
- Unloading livestock trucks
- Drafting and penning animals
- Conducting paddock mustering using side by side vehicles
- Accurately counting and recording livestock
- Performing data entry tasks related to inventory and health records
- Monitoring and managing the health and welfare of animals
- Feeding livestock and ensuring their well-being
About You:
- Experienced in general animal husbandry
- Ability to accurately count stock in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Strong record keeping and organisational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Quick problem-solving abilities to address challenges as they arise
- Positive attitude and a task-oriented approach
