Job Description
STAGWOOD HOLDINGS PTY LTD operates within the timber and building materials industry, supplying quality timber products and architectural solutions for the Australian construction and manufacturing sectors.
Our product range includes Australian hardwood products used for flooring, cladding, decking, lining and screening across residential and commercial applications.
We are committed to maintaining high standards of product quality, performance and consistency while supporting the responsible sourcing and supply of timber products for the Australian market.
As part of our ongoing operations and commitment to quality, we are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities include
- Conduct routine inspections of incoming finished timber products.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, grading rules, and company quality standards before being distributed.
- Verify dimensions, moisture content, appearance, machining quality and packaging.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming products.
- Record inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Investigate customer complaints regarding product quality.
- Review job lots before being packaged up for customer.
- Coordinate corrective actions with warehouse, supplier and management.
- Track trends in customer complaints.
- Recommend improvements to reduce repeat issues.
- Monitor quality of incoming timber from suppliers.
- Record supplier quality performance.
- Report recurring supplier issues to management.
- Assist with supplier corrective action requests where required.
- Ensure quality procedures and work instructions remain current.
- Assist with document control.
- Maintain inspection forms and product quality registers.
- Train staff in quality procedures and inspection methods.
- Promote quality awareness throughout the business.
- Follow company WHS policies.
- Ensure safe inspection practices.
- Report hazards and incidents.
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives where applicable.
