Are you looking to break into the welding and fabrication industry? Our Hallam-based client is seeking a Production Assistant / Trainee Welder to join their growing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to receive hands‑on training while working with a well-established manufacturer supplying lockers, cabinets, shelving systems, and storage solutions to a wide range of industries.

What's on Offer?
- $35 per hour
- Ongoing opportunity
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:20pm
- Friday: 7:00am - 12:20pm
- Early finish every Friday
- Supportive team environment

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the production and assembly of metal storage solutions
- Learn and develop MIG welding skills under experienced tradespeople
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and follow production instructions and drawings
- Maintain high standards of safety and quality
- Work collaboratively within the production team
- Assist with general factory and manufacturing duties as required
- Be available for occasional Saturday overtime when needed
What You'll Bring
- Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, factory work, trades assistant roles, sheet metal, fabrication, or similar industries
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused attitude
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Genuine interest in developing a career in welding and fabrication
