St Joseph's College Hunters Hill is a boarding and day secondary boys’ school, whose Catholic identity is shaped by Marist spirituality and traditions. Governed by Marist Schools Australia, the College enrolment is approximately 1,100 students.
A highly skilled, collaborative and motivated teacher is sought to work in a positive and successful department committed to delivering excellent outcomes for students requiring additional support to access the curriculum. This role incorporates support of Stage 4 students with diverse learning needs. An ability and experience in teaching another discipline would be highly regarded but not essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing Individual Learning Plans to meet diverse learning needs;
- Conducting regular diagnostic and standardised assessments to track progress;
- Collaborating with teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive classroom practices;
- Maintaining communication with parents, guardians, and external specialists to promote student wellbeing;
- Providing in-class, small group, and 1:1 support across Stage 4.
Familiarity with NCCD and CSNSW data management, as well as experience organising and applying NESA Exam Provisions for examinations, is essential.
The successful applicant must be supportive of the Catholic ethos and tradition of the College and be prepared to participate in the co-curricular area (which may not include any weekend responsibilities).
