As the Senior Engagement Worker, you'll be right in the thick of it — supporting consumers through big life moments while bringing your experience, ideas, and positive energy into a fun, passionate, and purpose-packed team. This is the kind of role where no two days look the same. One minute you might be helping someone settle into a new home, the next you're problem-solving alongside colleagues, celebrating consumer wins, or helping navigate complex challenges with empathy and creativity.

Reporting into the Team Leader, you'll bring energy, initiative, and heart to a role that's rewarding, challenging, and inspiring. A day on the job will see you:

  • Supporting the Team Leader to deliver a high-quality, sustainable, and consumer-focused service
  • Managing a caseload of consumers, including supporting people with more complex needs and circumstances
  • Developing person-centred and trauma-informed recovery plans using trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches
  • Assisting consumers to establish and sustain tenancies, including property set up and early intervention when housing is at risk
  • Collaborating with tenancy teams, community organisations, and external stakeholders to coordinate supports and advocate for positive outcomes

Your application will go to the top of our shortlist if you have:

  • A qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Social Science, or a related field (minimum Cert IV)
  • Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, AOD concerns, or involvement with the justice system
  • Strong understanding of recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and wellbeing-focused practice
  • Confidence supporting consumers with complex needs while building trust, rapport, and meaningful connections
  • The ability to provide guidance, support, and knowledge sharing within a team environment
  • Strong assessment, planning, and problem-solving skills

What's in it for you?

  • Pay: Competitive salary, plus NFP salary packaging giving you the potential to gain $18,500 in tax benefits
  • Leave: 23 days annual leave, that's 3 days more than the standard 4 weeks
  • Perks: Lots of social activities, expand your experience by joining a consultation committee, interact with the people we exist to support
  • Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Career development: Training, accessible leaders, growth and advancement opportunities
  • Culture: Exceptional workplace culture – we work hard and have fun while we do it
