Key responsibilities
- Organises and control the operations fleet of Vehicles to transport goods and passengers
- Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements
- Direct activities of staff performing repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles, and facilities
- Analyze expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services
- Recommend or authorize capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment or vehicles in order to increase efficiency and service
- Prepare management recommendations, such as proposed fee and tariff increases or schedule changes
- Organising the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment
- Responsible for scheduling transport and delivery times, allocating resources, organising vehicle maintenance and repairs, and developing a relationship with customers, receiving orders and bookings, implementing transporting schedules
- Ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality
- Arranging collection and delivery of vehicles and goods
About you
- Certificate/Diploma with 1 to 3 years full time or equivalent part time previous experience in a similar role
- Licence to drive medium to heavy vehicles
- Able to work Independently, as well as with a team
- Good organisational and communication skills
