At Sports Massage & Recovery for Athletes (SMRA), we work with athletes of all levels — from everyday gym-goers to competitive performers. Our team includes therapists with athletic backgrounds who understand performance, recovery, and results.

Due to rapid growth and increasing client demand, we're looking for an experienced Sports / Remedial Massage Therapist to join our Castle Hill clinic and manage a steady flow of new leads.

This role begins as a contractor position, with a clear pathway to full-time employment for the right candidate as the clinic continues to expand.

What You'll Earn

Competitive pay per massage:

• $35 to $53 – 30 mins
• $53 to $80 – 60 mins
• $77 to $115.5– 90 mins
• $101.50 to $152.25 – 120 mins
• $126 to $189 – 150 mins
• $148.5 to $223 - 180 mins

Equivalent earnings: $53–$80 per hour (treatment time), depending on experience and bookings.

Remuneration is based on a percentage and aligned with experience, performance, and booking volume.

12% Superannuation is included in the overall remuneration package where applicable.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Sunday
• Two shift options available:
  • 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Flexibility is available; a minimum number of 4 shifts per week is required.

What We're Looking For

You're not just a massage therapist — you're passionate about movement, performance, and helping clients achieve real results.

Essential Requirements

• Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015 or HLT52021 or equivalent)
• Membership with a HICAPS-recognised association (AMT, MMA, ANTA, ATMS, AAMT)
• Provider numbers for ALL health funds (HiCaps)
• Professional indemnity insurance
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate
• Children's Check
• Children's Check can be obtained after hire if not currently held
• ABN (contractor arrangement)
• Australian Citizenship or a valid work visa with working rights.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 6 months of experience as a Sports or Remedial Massage Therapist is required
• Experience working with athletes is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based treatment
• Ability to build and retain a loyal client base
• Confident working independently and within a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional presentation and conduct
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Passion for health, recovery, and performance

Highly Desirable

• You are an athlete or have an athletic background.
• Dry Needling qualifications
• Living in or around Sydney's North West suburbs
