Specialised Pavement Servicesis the largest provider of Road Sweeping / Suction Broom Equipment and Services in Australia.
We are presently seekingSWEEPER-TRUCK OPERATORSwithMR/HRtruck licenceto fulfilour service obligations.
This position is based at our depot at BERESFIELD.
The work involves sweeping maintenanceof specified road networks for Local and State Governments. Along with performing your role to the highest level of safety and quality, you will be responsible for routine and daily checks of your vehicle in harmony with all National Heavy Vehicle Laws and Company regulations. Some mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and plant concepts advantageous. Plant to be operated includes HINO trucks and MacDonald Johnson range of road sweepers. These are Left Hand Drive vehicles.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable and flexible about working hours. This position is generally long day shift, with early starts, must be able to do nights when required and this will include weekend work on a rotating roaster basis.
This role requires a clean bill of health and a good fitness level to alight from the vehicle many times a day. There is a requirement for some manual labour operating leaf blower/rake /shovel etc. You will be required to undergo a full medical check. An Industry (Work Cover) White/Blue card for construction is required.
While previous experience is an advantage, we are prepared to train candidates who display the right qualities or those who can demonstrate previous experience operating similar plant & equipment. This style of work suits a mature person
