Southern Grain Pty Limited (trading as Southern Stockfeeds) is an Australian owned and operated company.
In addition to our feed milling operations, we warehouse and distribute grains and meals from our storage site in Bridgewater.
We trade and manage logistics for grains, meals and various other products throughout Victoria, NSW and Tasmania.
About the roles
We are seeking energetic and mature individuals to assist in the efficient day-to-day operations of our grain warehousing / distributionsite at Bridgewater on Loddon, Victoria over the harvest period.
The various roles on offer are as follows
- Monitor the flow of grain from truck unloading and onto equipment and into storage (shed, silo, bunker).
- Ensure a clean work area (sweeping, shovellingand blowing down dust).
- Protect and cover the grain in our bunker storage using tarps.
- Grain sampling
- ‘Spear’truck to obtain grain samples using manual or automatic spears.
- Test grain samples for protein, moisture and contaminants against specifications.
- Enter data into our systems as per compliance requirements.
- Maintain a neat and tidy work area.
- Weighbridge operations
- Enter data on truck weight and data into our system as per compliance regulations.
- Answer all telephone calls to the site office.
- Perform basic administrative duties in support of the site supervisor/manager.

To be considered for casual employment during harvest, youmust
- Be available to work from November through to January
- Be an Australian citizen or hold a valid work visa and provide proof of your right to work, and
- Be capable and willing to work in an outdoor and shift workenvironment.
- Own transportation and a current Victorian driver's licence is preferred.
