Job Title: Lecturer - Master of Teaching (Early Childhood & Primary)

What you’ll do
Lecturing and teaching
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops and seminars in primary education units
- Develop course materials, assessments and rubrics for face-to-face and online delivery
- Mark assessments and provide ongoing student support and consultation
- Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement
Professional placements
- Support and coordinate professional placements for pre-service teachers
- Ensure placements meet AITSL Guidelines and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with primary schools and host organisations
- Liaise with mentor teachers, students and school leaders to support high-quality placement experiences
- Assist with the assessment of placement performance outcomes
About you
- Real primary classroom experience you can bring into higher education
- Strong understanding of contemporary primary pedagogies and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
- Ability to design engaging, practical learning experiences
- Comfortable with learning technologies (Moodle experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Collaborative and student-centred
- Prior experience lecturing or tutoring in teacher education
- Experience coordinating or supervising professional placements
- Curriculum design or academic quality assurance experience
- Higher education teaching qualification
