About the role
While your skills/qualifications and experience tell us part of your story, your values, attitude, and cultural alignment with Southern Cross are essential.
We are currently seeking Aged Care Support Workers who are based on Magnetic Island to support aged participants to live independently within their own home.
This would be by helping them achieve daily activities such as
- Domestic assistance - General housework including but not limited to dusting, ironing, mopping, laundry, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens
- Personal care assistance - Showering, toileting, grooming, and dressing
- Reporting and documentation
You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.
What you need
- Current references
- Current driver's licence your own car with insurance and vehicle registration.
- NDIS Worker's Clearance or willing to obtain (mandatory)
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain (mandatory)
- Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
- Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
- Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent (desirable)
Shift times available are
- There are several shifts available Monday - Friday (up to 15 hours per week).
