Southern Cross Community Healthcare – Kewarra Beach QLD
We are currently seeking motivated, caring and committed individuals as Aged Support Workers who live in and around Trinity Beach & Kewarra Beach to provide in-home personal care and domestic assistance. You will provide delivery of support services in the community to people living in their own homes.
Job Type: Contractor
What you need:
- Current driver's licence, your own car, vehicle registration and car insurance (mandatory)
- ANDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
- A Current and valid First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain (mandatory)
- A Working with Children Check or willing to obtain (Paid) (mandatory)
- Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent (desirable)
Days/Hours:
There are a variety of short (2-3 hour) shifts available (weekdays). Please indicate your availability within the application. Having a car and current licence is essential to travel to and from homes in the community.
About the role:
Seeking caring and committed people to support the elderly within their community to remain living independently at home by helping them achieve daily activities such as:
- Domestic assistance
- Personal care
- Social support & assistance with appointments
- Medication monitoring
- Reporting and documentation
You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.
