Job Description
Sourcify Pty Ltd Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Designing and developing electronic circuits and systems from concept through to production. Designing, developing and modifying electronic components, circuits and integrated systems for communications, networking and control applications.
Creating detailed electronic schematics and PCB layouts and undertaking simulation and analysis to verify design integrity and performance. Analysing project requirements and developing technical specifications for electronic systems. Developing, testing and validating electronic hardware, embedded systems and associated solutions.
Troubleshooting and debugging prototypes and production units to ensure reliability and compliance with technical specifications. Conducting system testing, diagnostics and fault analysis of electronic equipment and systems. Developing testing procedures and commissioning protocols for electronic systems and equipment.
Assisting with the installation, integration and commissioning of electronic and communications systems. Investigating technical issues, undertaking root-cause analysis and implementing appropriate engineering solutions. Monitoring system performance and recommending improvements to efficiency, reliability and functionality.
Collaborating with hardware engineers, software engineers, technicians and project managers to deliver integrated solutions. Ensuring designs and systems comply with applicable technical, quality, safety and project requirements. Preparing and maintaining design documentation, schematics, technical specifications, test results and engineering reports.
Staying current with emerging electronic technologies, industry developments and engineering best practices. Qualifications and Experience Essential Requirements Applicants must have: A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Electronics Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Minimum 2 years of relevant electronics engineering experience.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in electronics design, including circuit design, schematic development, PCB layout and system integration. Demonstrated experience with electronic prototyping, testing, troubleshooting and validation. Experience preparing electronic schematics, PCB layouts, technical specifications and engineering documentation.
Technical Skills Applicants must demonstrate: Practical proficiency using Altium Designer or comparable professional electronic design automation (EDA) software . Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, including power electronics. Practical experience with electronic interfaces and technologies relevant to electronics design, which may include: I2C SPI USB 2.0/3.0 RS485/RS422 Microprocessors Power supplies DC-DC converters Charging systems Lithium-ion battery applications Strong electronic troubleshooting, debugging, fault-finding and root-cause analysis skills.
Ability to interpret and prepare electronic schematics, PCB layouts, technical drawings and engineering specifications. Ability to document design processes, technical specifications, engineering decisions and test results. Desirable Skills and Experience
The following will be highly regarded: RF design experience. Familiarity with FPGA design and implementation. Knowledge of embedded software development.
Experience with communications systems, networking or fibre-optic technologies. Experience working in multidisciplinary hardware, software and engineering project teams. Skills and Attributes
The successful applicant should demonstrate: Strong analytical and technical problem-solving ability. Excellent attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Strong organisational and technical documentation skills. Ability to contribute throughout the electronics development lifecycle, from design and prototyping through to testing and production.
Salary: $80,000 - $82,000 per annum plus superannuation.
